You may remember an event we held last spring for Army Specialist Cas Werda, a 25-year-old from Novi, who was blinded while serving our country in Iraq. During that one-day event, we raised enough money to furnish his family room and living room.
Fast forward to last week when our team had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Cas and many members of his family as we decorated his Christmas tree and added some holiday touches to his family room and kitchen.
Cas is a very special person and his message of being happy and appreciating what you have is always a precious reminder.

Some really special Girl Scouts brought ornaments their troop made with a focus on holiday smells and sounds so Cas can enjoy them. The 5th grade troop made glittery, cinnamon scented pine cones and pipe cleaner trees with bells.

The story was featured on FOX 2 and was such a warm way to start the holiday season.

Our holiday Open House events have taken on such a special life of their own. Our Nov. 13th event was a fabulous gathering of old and new friends!

Diane and Kathy enjoyed the numerous holiday displays that are found throughout our 17,000 showroom.
Our design team created several decorating themes this year including: Wine Country, Versace, Central Park, Renaissance Christmas and Christmas in Tuscany.

( 3 / 1154 )Well we all know how difficult it can be with too many homes and not enough buyers. But thankfully, speaking from experience, it’s not impossible to sell a home in the current market.
I was lucky enough to sell my Dad’s condo recently. His unit was the only non-forclosure sale all year!
So what was the recipe for success?
We did our work upfront to make our little condo the most appealing and irresistible it could be. We did things like fresh paint and new hardware on the kitchen cabinets.
Next, we set the stage with furnishings for the living room, dining room and kitchen in fun, contemporary styling. We chose chocolate brown and chartreuse green.
I have to say the condo showed like a model. While we did spend some money to make the improvements, our investment paid off in a sale!
I knew in my heart it was what we needed to do to stand out from the very saturated market. So you know all those HGTV shows such as “Designed to Sell” really do work!

We have some great college-themed serving ware that will add a special flair to your next game day event.
Marketing Director Dawn Frasa and Interior Designer Darlene Hubbard have created a fun display in our showroom that features a University of Michigan vs. Michigan State University theme.
Stop in to see our collegiate serving ware and vote for the team you hope will win when the two Michigan universities face off in Ann Arbor on October 25th. One lucky winner from the winning team's entries will choose one piece of serving ware from the display. The drawing will be held on Oct. 27th.
